This group was founded in 2010 by a group of animal lovers who were concerned about the large number of stray dogs in the area and the lack of resources to care for them.

At Puerto Viejo Dogs we are a tight-knit team of devoted, passionate individuals who volunteer their time, care and love to promote the well being of dogs in the program. Through hard work and dedication our team strives to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Puerto Viejo's stray dog population.
